Our process advocates for industry behaviour change towards material use; from a capitalist driven overconsumption model, to one that can sensitively re-use and make better choices about material sources, considering the whole material life cycle.
Driven by impatience of inaction, our hands-on action sets a example that enables others to make more radical behaviour changes time and time again.
We work with industries that build 'temporary' structures. Primarily, this is the film industry, but expands to exhibitions, theatre and even full buildings.
An average large scale film set will put 500 tonnes of construction material into waste streams and 70% of timber waste in the UK is incinerated, releasing emissions.
Meanwhile, communities need materials that are responsibly sourced and affordable.
ReCollctive provide a service to these industries that allows them to reduce skip use and invest in our system, for the benefit of all.
We can collect, process and redistribute material responsibly. Because we track everything, we produce a report for each job, documenting what has been diverted and where it has gone.
