Community action is building community power through our spaces. Infrastructure built from ‘waste’ material provides new spaces that are fertile ground for communities to build more capacity and resilience to face upcoming climate and system change.
These spaces created are radical footprints that are tangible proof of a better alternative. These spaces can involve more people in positive change and allow them to keep nudging the world in the right direction.
Recollective work alongside community, design and build partners; advising best practice to design and build with reclaimed materials, often using our material inventory systems.
Every project is slightly different, we also undertake research and systems thinking around applying these ideas to other avenues.
From our inventory, we provide materials to community that are affordable and responsible:
We sell at 30-75% of market value of the materials, dependent on the condition. This is especially important as hiked timber costs can often paralyse community projects completely.
ReCollective’s palette is reclaimed and straightforward, often standard construction materials which are instinctive to work with.
